Hey everyone, it’s Jace here. I want to share something really close to my heart — my new

Couch to 5K program. This isn’t just another generic running plan. It’s designed for anyone who’s ever thought about running but felt unsure where to start or struggled to find a simple, realistic way to get moving.

The plan covers everything from tips and tricks to inspiration. And the best part? It all comes bundled in an easy-to-use app I designed to take all the guesswork out of the equation. The program includes reminders, an 8-week training calendar, tips and tricks, a mileage journal, and writing prompts to help you get your running feelings down on paper — so you can look back and see how far you’ve come.

The program starts with walking in Week 1 and gradually moves into walk/jog intervals at a slow, sustainable pace. No injuries. No burnout. Just a custom plan made for YOU. And if you have questions along the way, you can reach out directly to me through the app messenger. Oh, and did I mention? It’s free. 100% free.

Why I Made This Program

I created this plan because I know exactly how intimidating running can feel when you’re starting from scratch. I wasn’t always an elite runner. In fact, I started from the couch — just like you might be right now.

If I’m being totally honest, the couch wasn’t even my starting point. Addiction was. I started running to escape the feelings I battled during a pretty serious alcohol addiction. Not the kind that ruins your life overnight, but the silent kind — the kind where everyone thinks you have it all together, but inside, you’re struggling.

My first run was a half-mile jog, and it crushed me. Coming from someone who recently ran a mile in 4:47, there was a time not long ago when breaking a 10-minute mile was a huge challenge.

I made this program to help those who want to get moving no matter where they’re starting from — injured, a total couch potato, rehabbing — it doesn’t matter. This program breaks things down week by week so you can build endurance safely and steadily.

My Running Journey and How This Program Set Me Up

When I first laced up my shoes, I didn’t have a coach or a fancy plan. What I had was the need for something simple — a framework that wouldn’t crush me like that first half-mile run did on Day 1. I needed a way to build up without burning out or getting hurt. That’s exactly what this run/walk approach gave me.

It helped me build strength gradually, gain confidence in my body’s ability, and—most importantly—create consistency. Because consistency is the real game-changer. It’s not about going fast right away; it’s about showing up, putting in the work day after day, no matter how small the steps.

That solid foundation became my launchpad. It’s what made stepping up into the elite and pro ranks possible. Trust me, every pro athlete started somewhere, and most started just like this — slow, steady, focusing on building a base.

If you want to run strong and last long, that foundation is everything. This program is designed to help you build that base safely and confidently, so you’re ready for whatever your running journey throws at you next.

Why I’m Giving It Away for Free

Running literally saved my life. It pulled me out of some really dark places, helped me conquer depression, and showed me what I was truly capable of.

That’s why I want to make this accessible to everyone — no barriers, no excuses. The only things you need to start are a pair of shoes and a positive mindset. That’s it. No fancy gear, no gym membership. Just you, your feet, and a little courage. The program includes everything you need to get started and stay on track — an 8-week training calendar, daily reminders, helpful tips and tricks, a mileage journal, and even writing prompts to capture your journey. All of this is delivered in an easy-to-use app + PDF to support you every step of the way.

Trust the Process — It’s a Grind, But It’s Worth It

I won’t sugarcoat it — this journey takes work. You’ve got to be patient and start slow. The progress doesn’t come overnight, but it will come if you stick with it.

Follow the program, trust the process, and celebrate every little win. Before you know it, you’ll be running your first full 5K — and feeling stronger in every way.

Ready to take that first step? I’m here to help you every step of the way.

Let’s do this.— Jace

On a Side Note:

I’m starting something new this year as a coach, and honestly, I’m so pumped about it. I want YOU — my readers and athletes — to write me a letter.

Sure, I love positive comments as much as anyone, but getting a handwritten letter from you? That would absolutely blow me away. Share your journey, your story, your highs and even your lows. It’s private. It’s intimate. It’s just me and you, and I want to support you on your journey to becoming your best self.

I’m a sucker for deep connection, and to me, the emotion behind a letter speaks volumes. I don’t have a million fans, and to me, it’s a blessing to create this kind of bond with you.

It’s easy: you write me, and I’ll write you back. Just send your letters to:
