Training Blog Week 1 - Staying in the Quiet
This is Week 1 of the Follow the Flow training series documenting my preparation for a 140 mile stand up paddleboard expedition from Lake Wawasee to Lake Michigan.


Wrecked… But the Dream Must Go On
Week 8 | 100 days out.
Over 100 miles on the bike. Nearly 6 miles in the pool. 20 miles running. Five strength sessions. Twelve hours on a balance board preparing for nearly 2 million paddle strokes from Lake Wawasee to Lake Michigan.
On paper it looks strong.
In real life, I’m wrecked.
The workouts follow me home. They wake me up at night. But mentally I’ve never felt clearer.
The dream doesn’t shrink when you’re tired.
It grows.

Matching the Mission for Clean Water x $100,000
There’s something about the water that always brings me home. It’s where I’ve trained, raced, reflected, and healed. When I swam around Lake Wawasee, it wasn’t about breaking a record. It was about reminding myself why this water matters. It’s the heart of our community. That swim was the start of a bigger story... One that’s still being written.
